The Scottish Federation was formed on the 18th of May 1958 at
the Queens Hotel Perth, 25 aquarists representing clubs from all
over Scotland met under the Chairmanship of Mr. Vasey the Perth
club President, and after a short humorous discussion in which
all were asked their views, it was unanimously agreed to form
"The Federation of Scottish Aquarist Societies". Now

Greenock, Perth, Mussleburgh, Linlithgow, Edinburgh, Glenrothes,
Glasgow, and Lanarkshire.
The Management Committee take to do with the day to day running
of the Federation and are elected at the end of every year at
the A.G.M. to carry out the duties for the following season. The
Federation has taken the Red "Siamese Fighter" as its
emblem, other Societies have Angel Fish, Livebearers, Catfish,
Cichlids, Rasboras and Characins etc. Every Society has their
